That sounds like a great hunt but be prepared for a very difficult target in tight quarters. The kill zone is small and those little piggies always seem to be on the move. I thought about taking my Boar this year with a bow but decided to go with the rifle.

Javelina in Texas

Post by BigHorn WBY on Fri Jun 27, 2008 8:58 am

I have and do hunt with a bow, but I am not a bow hunter if that makes any sense. I have a customer here who has invited/encouraged me to join along on a hunt for Javelina near Ft. Stockton Texas. In Texas you can buy a 5 day license for 2 piggies. The ranch we will be on chagres 275 a day for a 2 day, 3 night stay. We can use any means of weapon. I will be using my old ancient XI Silverhawk. I will get some pictures of the set up for you.
To live out my remaining days as thou on Campaign. Trusted Guns, fine rifle, sturdy fly rod and hardy women
